1. The aim of this is to create a sheetmetal body required for an electronic devices.

3. to be familiar with edge flange in sheet metal in solidworks

1.Use the following given dimension to design the sheetmetal body in solidworks.

• bend radius:10mm
• Thickness: 1mm
• K-Factor: 0.5
• Relief: Rectangular

2.Create vent of width 8mm and depth 1mm.
3.Use Louver forming tool from design library.
4. Use linear pattern for Louver with distance of

• x-axis-50
• y-axis-30

Design Drum in solid works (Revolved in solidworks) | how to use revolved in solidworks.

Objective: The objective of this post is to design drum in solidworks to learn Revolved command in features section .

we will create this drum using simple sketch and features option

1.use the sketch option by strictly flowing the dimension given.

2.use Revolved to create the object by selecting axis.

3. use polar array to create hole of dia 6mm on pitch circle dia of 60mm.

Design mobile phone cover in solidworks (surface tutorial in solidworks)

Objective: the objective of this project is to create semi finished bottom of mobile phone (iphone)
cover using surface tools.

We will complete the project by following the procedure given below:

1. create surface features from iPhone bottom bottom detail views.

2. Use extrude, Sweep, fill surface to design the component.

3. join all the surfaces using Knit surface command.

4. Apply thickness to the surface using thicken surfaces.

5. Check curvature discontinuities along surfaces.

Objective: to create a Stereo cover.

1. Use following parameters to design the sheetmetal body

 Bend radius: 5 mm.
Thickness: 0.75 mm
K-factor: 0.4
Relief: Tear
Hem type: Open with 1 mmm miter gap

2. follow the dimension given
3. Use counter sink emboss and louver forming tool from design library.
